THE emergence of Chat GPT and insecurity about the future of academic papers

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between technological evolution resulting from the spread of Artificial Intelligence in academic and school fields. For this, the inductive method is used, through theoretical-bibliographical and documental research, to discuss the potential influence of ChatGPT on the quality of academic works, and in the end, on the autonomy of human thought. The results point to the need to adapt educational institutions to the new reality imposed by Artificial Intelligence, promoting human development over automation, ensuring that the opposite does not occur.
