Resumo

Protecting consumer rights in e-commerce is a key factor in building a transparent and sustainable e-commerce environment. In Vietnam, despite progress in e-commerce development, one of the challenges is the lack of a legal framework and the ineffective enforcement of laws protecting consumer rights in e-commerce. Relying on the doctrinal research methodology, this article focuses on researching and analyzing legal regulations for consumer protection in the e-commerce activities of major organizations and countries worldwide, including the United States, the European Union, and Japan. Based on a comparison with the current situation in Vietnam, the article offers recommendations for Vietnam as it improves its consumer protection laws in e-commerce.
